Eric Parnell didn't take a straight line to Division I basketball — and that's exactly what makes him dangerous. Out of Holy Trinity Episcopal High School in Melbourne, Florida, he started his college career at Eastern Florida State, where he averaged double-digit scoring and proved he could put the ball in the basket against anyone.
From there, the journey took him to Hofstra and then to Fairleigh Dickinson, where he started for the Knights as a senior and led the team in scoring touches — logging 25.7 minutes a night and finishing at a 10.7 point clip in the Northeast Conference, one of the most physical mid-major leagues in the country.
Eric has now signed with Georgia State University, bringing a tested, battle-hardened game to the Panthers in the Sun Belt Conference. A proven scorer who's started against high-major and mid-major competition alike, he's ready to compete for Atlanta from day one.
Three programs, three different roles, one constant — Eric scores. He's started against high-major and mid-major competition alike, logs heavy minutes, and gets to the free-throw line at an 81.8% clip. Now in Atlanta, he brings a low-maintenance, high-motor game to the Panthers' backcourt rotation.
Florida-born, well-spoken, and active across multiple programs and communities throughout his career. As he settles into Atlanta with Georgia State, Eric is looking to build long-term partnerships with brands that want a genuine, hard-working face — not just a logo placement.
